I received my notification about a new issue but can't get access the issue.  Why?

Within the e-mail notification you received there is a cover image to click on to view the new issue.  That image contains a piece of coding, called a "cookie," that uniquely identifies your subscription.  However, if your browser does not allow cookies, or you try to access the issue by typing http://magazines.aba.com/bmmag in your browser, you must "identify" yourself.  You will be greeted by another cover image or a pop-up window that reads "If you are a current subscriber click here to login and view the full edition."  Simply click through and when asked for your Email or Customer ID enter the same e-mail address that ABA has on file for your subscription and you will immediately enter the issue.

Are the online issues of ABA Bank Marketing the same as the printed versions?

Yes, the online and the print issues are exactly the same. The only difference is that the version online offers a number of useful features, such as active links and e-mail addresses, a Search function and an Archive of previous issues.

Will I still receive my printed copies in the mail?

Yes. The online issues are in addition to, not a replacement of, the print publications.

Can I view a tutorial that highlights the features of my online issue?
Yes. Turn up your speakers, click here, and give us 7 minutes and you'll learn about each exciting feature and how it functions.

Is support available if I'm having technical troubles with my online issue?

Yes. Please start by reviewing the Troubleshooting Guide below. If that does not resolve the problem, please click here to provide details of your request.

How long will issues be available?

As long as you are an active subscriber, your issues will never be deleted. After you login, the current issue will be the first you see. As new issues become available, they will replace the current issue and all others for which you were a subscriber, dating back to January 2009, will be available in your Archive.

How will I know when a new issue is ready?

Each time a new issue is ready, you will receive a notification by e-mail. You can also receive a RSS feed by clicking on the orange RSS button on the right side of the menu bar.

Can I view my issues without the e-mail notification?

Yes. When you access an issue using the notification e-mail that you received, you will be taken directly to the current issue.  However, if you did not save that notification e-mail, you may access your current and past issues at any time by going through the appropriate URL below. Doing so in this manner will require you to login to prove you are a valid subscriber.  Otherwise it makes no difference which way you access the issue. The appropriate URLs are:

 Troubleshooting Guide

Working with Firewalls and Referrer Blockers
If you are unable to access the articles, there are many possible reasons. Some tools, such as Norton, can create problems. The following instructions should help solve most known issues for:

Internet Explorer 6/Internet Explorer 7
This can be done from the computer's Control Panel > Internet Options, or from within the browser Tools > Internet Options.

1.     Click Security

2.     Click Trusted Sites then Sites

3.     Add "www.aba.com" in the box provided and click Add

4.     Uncheck the box that requires HTTPS verification

5.     Click the Privacy tab (Medium is an acceptable setting on the slider, but click Sites and again enter "www.aba.com")

6.     Now click Allow

7.     Click Apply

This has only altered settings for the ABA website and does not otherwise affect your browsing.

Firefox 1.0+
RefControl
Use the RefControl extension for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/953/

Manual
Please note that manual configuration may be considered a privacy risk as all sites will receive referring URLs. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.sendRefererHeader for more information.

1.     Type about:config in the URL address bar

2.     A large collection of alphabetically listed information will appear in the browser window

3.     Search for network.http.sendRefererHeader

4.     By default, this should be set at 2

5.     If it is set to 0 - which disables sending referrers - right click it, select Modify and enter 2 as the value

6.     If that doesn't work, try a value of 1

Opera
Sending referrers is enabled by default.
If you have disabled it, go to Tools > Preferences > Privacy and re-enable it.

Norton Internet Security
Go to Privacy Control > Advanced > Add Site.
Add the URL "www.aba.com" and make sure everything is permitted.

Norton Personal

If you want to allow referring URL information to pass to a particular web page, you must create a rule for it.
Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall and choose one of the following:

5.     Click the name of the new site

6.     Click the Global Settings tab

7.     In the "Information about visited sites" section, clear "Use default settings"

Netbarrier
